Submit
Music
If you're an artist or band looking to get airplay on Brooklyn Radio, you can submit tracks to an individual DJ or show by using their contact information listed on their show page. You can also submit your work for consideration through Soundcloud for distribution amongst all the DJs. If we decide to include your music in any of the shows, we will contact you. Please do not repeatedly send us e-mails of the same content if you haven't heard within two weeks of contacting us. Due to the volume of submissions, we can not respond to everyone, but only those we decide to play.
Show
Brooklyn Radio is always looking for new voices and fresh content for its shows and articles. If you’re interested in submitting an idea for a show, please send an e-mail to dan@brooklynradio.net with a pitch, your background experience, and what audience you’re hoping to attract. If we think your show would make a good fit in our line up, we’ll contact you to create a one hour demo for submission. We highly suggest you familiarize yourself with our current roster of DJs and shows before making a query. While some formats are more popular than others, we’re still very interested in finding content that would fill a certain niche. Our programming tends to be eclectic. So, for example, if you’d like to pitch a show that features Latin music, we’d be more open to one that mixes up new material with classics in different genres (salsa, samba, reggaeton, meringue) than an hour of the same genre. Also, besides music, we’re very interested in helping on-air talent develop original content that features talk, comedy, sports, and culture.
Articles/Video
Besides our shows, we also feature written content. Our site is updated daily with articles, video, and photography that covers pop culture and music with irreverence and insight. We accept one off stories and ideas for columns from experienced writers and those looking to pursue creative and journalistic endeavors. We're always looking for live show reviews, record reviews, humorous and interesting finds from the web, and more. To query about writing an article, please e-mail dan@brooklynradio.net with a pitch and a few writing samples. Again, we highly suggest you familiarize yourself with our written content before submitting. |
